I am a new fan of Claudia and her podcast, and I went with a few friends to her MSG show. I thought she was incredibly impressive putting herself out there - she went on promptly (we actually missed the first 10 minutes getting a drink) and was so bright and fun. I go to a lot of comedy shows across the city and female comedians generally recycle the same jokes (profanity, sex). I found Claudia’s bits to be unique and on brand. She is clearly figuring her brand out as she builds her career and I was happy to be part of her journey. She out herself out there and she has brought me and my friends so much joy over the years. Her content brings people together - it’s unapologetic and real. I’m proud of her and would see her again any city any time. We all have space for improvement but I definitely got my moneys worth. Thanks Claud!!

I’m gonna preface this by saying, I am sure it is not easy to get on stage in MSG, as the last stop on your tour, in your hometown, and slay. I didn’t see the other shows on the tour, but I’m assuming it’s the same material… and if that’s the case, then that’s a shame. The material should’ve been elevated for this crowd. New Yorkers need fresh stuff. Too much time spent on covid jokes/stories. Lots has happened in the world since COVID, plenty to make fun of… seemed like a missed opportunity to share some new material. Instead, it felt recycled. She tries to be relatable with fat jokes (and it works, but the skinny girls sitting next to me weren’t laughing!) Nevertheless, still love her and she’s got a good thing going. But next time you’re doing a show in NY, cater it to them. They’re your people, let them know it by making fun of them.

Show started about 30 minutes late, and I was grateful when it ended after only about an hour on stage. 99% of the material is just not funny. Lots of fat girl jokes, vulgar in a forced, cringy way. No one around me was laughing either. It felt like she was performing for a small group of fans who worship her, paid a lot of money to sit in the orchestra and think she’s funny even if she just stands there in her pajamas. Never again.

Did not expect her to have super fans who worship the ground she lives on. 85% of her show was making fat jokes. Super disappointing.

I expected much more from this show, which was definitely a fault of my own. Basically felt like being at a sorority party with a bunch of catty girls looking around judging each other. her jokes were not funny, and you can tell she lies a lot.
