Now starting their 2017 season, the Thousand Oaks Plaza's very own symphony orchestra presents a triple program featuring works by Rossini, Beethoven and Haydn, conducted by Fawzi Haimor in his debut for the New West Symphony, joined also by Garrick Ohlsson on piano in his as well! Rossini's Overture to La Scala di Seta will mark the first time this work is performed by the Symphony; this is followed by Beethoven's Concerto No. 5 in E-flat Major for Piano & Orchestra, Opus 73, "Emperor" and concluding with Haydn's Symphony No. 104 in D Major, Hob1: 104.

A relatively new arrival on the classical music scene, New West Symphony was founded in 1995 drawing its professional artists from the rich talent pool of Los Angeles -based musicians.
