Why See Los Angeles Master Chorale - English Cathedral Christmas?
Revel In The Christmas Carols Of Old
Whilst it may not snow in the City of Angels come Christmas time, classic traditions still hold sway. Take a trip to the hallowed halls of England's churches with the Los Angeles Master Chorale and their special one-night-only English Cathedral Christmas program at the historic Walt Disney Concert Hall this holiday season!
The program begins with Ralph Vaughan Williams' musical nativity play 'The First Nowell'. It's familiar, beautifully crafted melodies a joyful Christmas spirit as they weave together scenes from the Birth of Christ. The ensemble will give new life to a host of much loved holiday classics like John Traverner's 'The Lamb' and Peter Warlock's 'Bethleham Down' before bringing things to a rousing close with Gustav Holst's 'Christmas Day', a choral fantasy of well known carols that'll leave audiences with a distillation of that special warmth, wonder and cheer that only Christmas time can bring.
