The Hollywood Bowl is known for its band shell, which is set against the famous Hollywood hills. Its name refers to the way the stage is set in the concave hills. The Hollywood Bowl is owned by the County of Los Angeles and is the home of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, as well as the Los Angeles Philharmonic in the summer. The venue hosts of hundreds of musical events each year.
