Why see Aerosmith & Slash?

This reunion has been a long time coming. Slash first toured with Aerosmith back in 1988 as a member of Guns 'N' Roses. It was revelatory experience for the top-hatted guitarist, whose love for Aerosmith began in his youth. "It's really the band that pointed me in a direction when I started playing guitar." And now, twenty six years later, they've joined forces again. Along with his band Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, Slash will be supporting Aerosmith on their mammoth 2014 Let Rock Rule World Tour.

There were few bands who kept the rock 'n' roll flame burning as brightly as Aerosmith did through the seventies and eighties, with songs like Dude Looks Like a Lady and Sweet Emotion. They are biggest selling US rock band of all time, with some 150 million records sold worldwide. Inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame in 2011, they have countless Grammy Awards and platinum albums to their name.

With his work in Guns 'N' Roses, Slash became one of the iconic guitar players of the past 50 years. The band's 1987 debut Appetite for Destruction, which contained the tracks Sweet Child O' Mine and Welcome to the Jungle, was a global phenomenon and secured the band's place in the rock history books. Alongside his towering achievement with the group, Slash has released a number of very successful solo records, the latest of which is due for release later this year.
