The Pink Floyd guitarist tours his fourth solo album Rattle That Lock
Progressive rock master David Gilmour returns in 2015 with a new album titled Rattle That Lock, and he's heading here in 2016 for a North American leg of his world tour. A member of iconic rock band Pink Floyd, Gilmour led the band into its most commercially successful period in the mid-70s, with albums like Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here. A guitarist of prodigious talent, he can wield the instrument like few others and has been named as one of the greatest guitarists of all time by Rolling Stone Magazine.
His fourth studio album, Rattle That Lock, contains the lead single and title track, which was inspired by a very unusual source. Its main melodic hook is based on the jingle for French railway company SNCF, which Gilmour heard (and quickly recorded on his iphone) while visiting friends near Marseilles.
