Paramore lead singer heads out on solo tour
Hayley Williams, frontwoman of world-smashing alternative rock band Paramore, is striking out alone for the first time in support of her debut solo album Petals For Armor. Commencing her solo US tour in Seattle on May 28th, the trek runs for just over a month until closing in Nashville on June 29th.
Petals For Armor marks Williams' first ever release as a solo artist independent of the multi-platinum selling Paramore, with whom she's become known as one of the leading figures in modern rock music. The release marks a noticeable new musical direction for Williams, tinged with production, songwriting and drum beats reminiscent of Radiohead, James Blake and Imogen Heap. But Williams' unmistakably powerful voice on top is assured and confident, a truly exciting shift which will enthral fans old and new.
