After a long wait and many (many!) rumours, it's finally official! Ben Platt will be joining the upcoming film adaptation of the Tony-winning hit musical Dear Evan Hansen. After originating the role of Evan in the original Broadway run, Platt has gone on to become a household name and also tour the USA as a solo artist.

And as if that isn't exciting enough, two other Hollywood stars will be joining him! None other than Julianne Moore will join the cast to play Heidi Hansen, Evan's mother. And Amy Adams will play the role of Cynthia Murphy, Connor Murphy's mother and the family Evan clings to in the wake of Connor's death. Both 'moms' will be able to show off their vocal talents in some of the musicals most moving songs - we can't wait to hear it! 

They join previously announced cast members including Kaitlyn Dever as Zoe Murphy, Colton Ryan as Connor Murphy, Nik Dodani as Jared Kleinman.
