LiSA LOVED CHICAGO, AND CHICAGO LOVED LISA.

First off, yes she began late. This was because she was very generous with the meet and greets. Fans have waited nearly 30 years to see her here in Chicago. She wasn't rushing people right through, and she very generously took photos with everyone. As with any concert, you have to assume it will always start later than expected. As for the concert, it was one show stopper after another. She began with new songs from the new album--and throughout this entire show, she really, really demonstrated her vocal chops--and they sound as fresh as they did in the 80's, and 90's. After some confessions about not getting Chicago Pizza, she said that this was her favorite performance so far in her North American tour. She really interacted with the crowd, and gave every song energy. The only surprise is that she didn't perform "Billionaire" but probably replaced it with "You Can't Deny It" a USA favorite. Hopefully she will return again soon and realize her fan base is strong here too.

Worth the wait!

Lisa Stansfield started around 9pm with local Canadian artist Theo Tams opening. Once she appeared, the crowd got up on their feet and pretty much showed her some Toronto love after a 20 year absence. Her voice was rich, soulful and showed no sign of wear and tear ocer the years. She showcased selected songs from Deeper and favourites hits from previous albums. Overall the concert was superb!

After starting to queue at 6.30 with tickets fr an 8 pm show sh didn't appear until almost 9.30. not good. an artist whom i adore, and have all her music. disappointed by the late start and no apology got me agitated, yes she was great and even with her declaration she was a bit raspy sounded fantastic. but call me old after standing from 6.30 by the time it finished i was not happy i felt like i had been on a marathon. Friends left half way through because they were uncomfortable. still love Lisa but doubt i would see her again. because of this;
