The man who is at the cutting edge of hip-hop is taking a step back to revisit one of his greatest hits. Kanye West plays the Hollywood Bowl for two nights this September, performing his landmark 2008 record 808's & Heartbreak in its entirety.

The follow-up to Graduation, 808's was a startling about turn for West, leaving behind the bright, anthemic sounds of Stronger et al. for a pared down, heavily auto-tuned collection of ballads. Released to an initially muted response from fans, it now stands as stunning reinvention and a huge influence on the likes of Drake and James Blake who followed in its wake.
