The roots and friends

The Roots bring together some household names for the 2024 edition of the famous Roots Picnic at the Hollywood Bowl! The genre-bending pioneers, led by founders drummer Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson and Tariq "Black Thought" Trotter, headline alongside hip-hop and Hollywood royalty Queen Latifah, Grammy, Oscar, Emmy and Golden Globe winner Common and jazz-rap Grammy-winners Digable Planets, among others!

From The Roots' early debut in 1993 right through to their current partnership with Jimmy Fallon as the late night talk show host's house band, the innovative collective continues to break boundaries, fusing rap with R&B, jazz and electronica, as well as a fearless political commentary on black culture and society in America today. The Roots Picnic has become one of the premiere events of the LA calendar and should not be missed.
