Amadeus

That was Mozart. That! That giggling dirty-minded creature I had just seen, crawling on the floor!
Why see Amadeus?
Tony Award winner Jefferson Mays (A Christmas Carol, I Am My Own Wife) takes on the role of Salieri, directed by fellow Tony winner Darko Tresnjak (A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder), in the timeless drama Amadeus.
Madness & Envy In Vienna
Peter Shaffer's Tony-Winning play shines a fictional light on classical music's greatest composer, imagining his rise to the top in Vienna, and the intense jealousy it inspires in his rivals. Highly theatrical, witty, and stunning, Amadeus not only highlights Mozart's genius but also that of the late Shaffer.
What Is The Story Of Amadeus
Inspired by the music of Mozart, fellow composer Antonio Salieri is desperate to meet the man behind the sound. However, his tastes are soured when he discovers the 'genius' is uncouth, lacking the charm he feels should accompany the talent. Desperate and jealous, he decides to bust into Mozart's inner circle, presenting a kind face, while attempting to sabotage him at every turn.
