Some say he's a tribute to the golden years of SoundCloud, and they're right. Inspired by icons like Travis Scott, Chance The Rapper, and many more, Tape B (real name Kemal Berk Alkanat) became obsessed with the one thing that tied him to his music-sharing hip-hop sessions with friends - the cassette tape. And while he's all for retro vibes, he's even more about elevating his genre. From his Driptapes series to collaborations with artists like Juicy J and Mersiv, Tape B has forged a new era of dubstep. By blending nostalgia with modern innovation, he continues to redefine the genre's sonic landscape.
Spending the last few years selling out venues, evolving his mixing skills and blending old-school hip-hop and dubstep to create songs that top the charts but sound like nothing else, Tape's newest release, CarSongs Vol. 4 shows that this artist is ready for the spotlight.
