What Is It About?

It's the night before Christmas in the late 1940s, and WNBC radio is about to host a live broadcast of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol with an all-star celebrity cast. The studio audience is in situ, but right at the final moment disaster strikes: the entire cast hasn't turned up! The station's manager, desperate not to leave dead air, has to try and throw together a new cast, with anyone - literally anyone - who happens to be in the same building, including a plumber, a priest, and other highly unqualified amateurs. Terrible acting, awful accents, badly timed sound effects and many more mishaps ensue, but will the hilariously bad broadcast at least bring the merry Christmas charm we all crave? Hint: yes it will!
