In over 100 years of movie history, the modern cinematic experience would be nothing without the rousing musical scores which accompany them. From strings underscoring the tension of a darkened corridor to the timpanies, percussive crashes and sweeping horns soundtracking the action of a battlefield, most of the iconic moments in film history are made what they are by the music underneath them.

Los Angeles Philharmonic perform a special celebration of the power of music in film at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in February. Curated by none other than legendary film composer John Williams, join conductor David Newman and the LA Phil in this rousing tribute to the music of the movies.
