The Los Angeles Philharmonic welcomes special guest viral piano superstar Hayato Sumino for a performence of Chopin's magnificent First Piano Concerto. Renowned for his ability on Chopin's pieces - his performance at the XVIII International Chopin Piano Competition was viewed online by a record live audience - Tokyo-born Sumino is also hugely popular as a YouTuber, performing virtuosic versions of pieces from video games, anime and more, as well as a jaw-dropping interpretation of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star as if it was written for the classical concert hall. Don't miss the chance to see him live, doing what he does best.
Louis Langree, previously music director of the Mostly Mozart Festival, conducts Sumino and the orchestra, and will open the program with that composer he knows so well. Mozart's Serenade No. 10 "Gran Partitia" forms the first half of this concert, setting up an unmissable evening at Walt Disney Concert Hall.
