Uruguayan Superstar

The Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra welcomes superstar Uruguayan musician, singer and actor Jorge Drexler to LA for a special performance at the Walt Disney Concert Hall! One of Uruguay's most famous artists, Drexler has won an astounding thirteen Latin Grammy Awards, not to mention an Academy Award for his song "Al Otro Lado Del Rio", which had appeared in The Motorcycle Diaries. With a new album, Taraca, out in 2026, come and let his melodies wash over you, singing hits both new and oldbacked by the glory of the orchestra. 

Jorge Drexler's soft, gorgeous tone help to make his voice one you won't forget in a hurry, and the international music press are in consistent agreement; Rolling Stone, Monocle, The Guardian and many others have all lauded him as one of the most important singers of our time. His knack for finding a flow that resonates has also seen him collaborate with Shakira, contributing lyrics to the Spanish language version of hits including "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)".
