Written in honor of his dear friend Franz Liszt, Camille Saint-Sans' magnificent third symphony, his "Organ Symphony", comes to the Walt Disney Concert Hall courtesy of the the LA Philharmonic. The sprawling work is the pinnacle of Saint-Saens' ouevre, capturing the essence of the Romantic era in all its splendor. The thrilling use of the organ in this composition creates one of the most exhilarating organ performances an audience can possibly witness, any time it is played live.

Conducted by Louis Langree, also to be performed is Maurice Ravel's splendid Tzigane, showcasing the Phil's own Martin Chalifour's stunning talents on the violin, whilst the audience will also be treated to a world premiere of Jonathan Bailey Holland's newest symphony.
