Los Angeles Philharmonic: Schumann's Piano Concerto

"Some pianists aim for accuracy, others for freedom of expression: Argerich unerringly achieves both."

Why see Los Angeles Philharmonic: Schumann's Piano Concerto?
Virtuoso Martha Argerich plays Schumann
Widely thought to be one of the greatest living pianists of the last 500 years, Argentine pianist Martha Argerich joins Los Angeles Symphony Orchestra for three exclusive performances of Schumann's Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 54 at the Walt Disney Concert Hall on February 12, 14 and 15 2015.
Shunning the limelight, Argerich has never had any interest in press and giving interviews, allowing her prodigious talent and musical virtuosity to speak for her. Here she plays the work of one of the greatest Romantic-era composers Robert Schumann. The Concerto is comprised of three movements; a dramatic and powerful opening theme, a melodically sweet intermezzo and an energetic finale.
