A high-spirited holiday concert to remember
La Mirada Theater will be transformed into a sparkling winter wonderland in LA this December, as a huge holiday concert featuring 250 members of the Young Americans takes to the stage. A multi-sensory experience, the set includes 45-foot LED display walls, strobe lighting, and a staggering 30 set changes to show the different elements of the holiday season. Over 6,000 costumes transform the performers into different characters including a troupe of dancing Santas, street-dancing penguins, and even a certain polar express! A stunning treat that the whole family can enjoy.
The music reflects the wide diversity of how Christmas is celebrated in the city; from traditional choral arrangements such as Handel's Messiah, classical works including segments from The Nutcracker ballet, and even penguins performing hip hop music! Having been formed in 1962 as a youth outreach organization, the Young Americans have performed with musical icons like Andy Williams, Ed Sullivan, and Bing Crosby, and continue to reach audiences worldwide through the performing arts.
