Goran and his band put on a festive and fabulous show in Barcelona in February 2020. I'm hoping to see him in Los Angeles.

Goran and his band was for decades the best frantically loved on Balkans for several decades. Bijelo Dugme (his band) is widely considered to have been the most popular band ever to exist in the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and one of the most notable acts of the Yugoslav rock scene and Yugoslav popular music in general. Unfortunately for me and many others he turned to Roma music with lyric on Roma language which only Roma people understand. That is fine and this is his choice, but bringing this to this concert was disappointing. To me the music he presented was likely playback. It was one person on drums and he was a lead singer. He was most of time singing in Rome and not even touching drums but drumming was loud all the time. Big Brass instrument players were almost not moving fingers, and still sound those instruments was coming from loudspeaker. The sound was very bad, for what ever reason in the Moore theater. I have loved his music for many years, this :-(
