LCD Soundsystem at Shrine Auditorium

LCD Soundsystem

Feted by music critics and fans alike, LCD Soundsystem have had an incalculable impact on modern alternative music. Their sleek brand of dance rock riffs on everyone from Bowie to Gang of Four, while still managing to deliver emotional millennial gut punches. Their song 'All My Friends' was named as the second-best track of the 00s by Pitchfork, and their debut single 'Daft Punk is Playing at My House' was nominated for a Grammy. In 2017, they finally won a gong for the thumping disco confessional 'tonite'. Put on your dancing shoes and catch them live this year!

Aurora

Ethereal Nordic folk singer-songwriter Aurora is bringing her dazzling display of talent to the States this winter on the What Happened to the Earth tour. L'Imperatrice at Shrine Auditorium

L'Imperatrice

French disco-pop band L'Imperatrice head on tour around North America this year, following the release of their brand new album Pulsar! The six-piece from Paris have always had a smooth sound that feels simultaneously nostalgic and fresh, expertly drawing on influences from disco, funk, pop and electronica, having evolved and experimented with the genres since their 2018 debut Matahari.

Refused at Shrine Auditorium

Refused

Originating from Umea, Swedish hardcore punk band Refused formed in 1991. Enjoying a long and lasting legacy thanks to their unique blend of hardcore, punk and metal, the outfit broke many a rocker's heart when they split up following the release of the seminal album The Shape of Punk To Come in 1998. Luckily the punk gods intervened and the outfit announced their long-awaited reunion in 2012, a miracle considering the band's original and explicit declaration to never reunite! But now, the Swedish outfit are breaking up once again and kick off their farewell tour next year!

Bladee at Shrine Auditorium

Bladee

Bladee's 2024 is shaping up to be a landmark year with a flurry of creative output and live performances. Following the release of "Psykos," a collaborative album with fellow Swedish rapper Yung Lean, Bladee dropped his latest solo project, "Cold Visions," to critical acclaim. The album's unique blend of witty lyricism carried by melodic vocals over ethereal beats continues to solidify his position in the underground scene.

Future Islands at Shrine Auditorium

Future Islands

Up until 2014, Future Islands were an acclaimed, but lesser known synth-pop band from Baltimore, but that all changed with their appearance on David Letterman's Late Show. Not only was lead singer Samuel Herring's dancing the stuff that memes' dreams are made of, but the song they played, 'Seasons (Waiting on You)', was obviously something special. Later named by Pitchfork as the best track of the year, 'Seasons' proved to be the band's breakthrough, and they now stand as one of the indie world's most respected groups.
