Why see Noises Off?
The Funniest Farce Ever!
A huge inspiration for current Broadway hit The Play that Goes Wrong, Michael Frayn's theatrical car crash (in the best possible sense) has been making audiences howl with laughter for over 30 years. Noises Off centers on a seemingly doomed production of a sex farce called Nothing On. From rehearsals, through to the first matinee, and onto the final performances, nothing quite ever goes according to plan. There's off-stage mishaps, misplaced props and forgotten cues... but still, the show must go on!
Noises Off first premiered in Lindon's West End in 1982, and made its debut Stateside thirteen years later. This A Noise Within staging is directed by Geoff Elliott & Julia Rodriguez-Elliott.
