Legends of Folk at Cerritos Center

Why see Legends of Folk?

An afternoon with folk greats

Enjoy an afternoon with some of the founding names of America's folk revival movement, as The Kingston Trio, The Limeliters and The Brothers Four share a bill at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts. An unmissable opportunity to hear the sound of true legends, with the show hosted by comedian Scott Wood.

Grammy winning group The Kingston Trio are perhaps best known for their Billboard no.1 hit Tom Dooley, selling over 3 million copies since its 1958 release. The Limeliters meanwhile have delighted lovers of folk music across 25 albums, with singles such as Have Some Madeira M'Dear and popular versions of famous folk songs such as Whiskey In The Jar leaving a lasting impression on the folk scene. The Brothers Four are yet another of the most important acts of the 50s and 60s revival, their single The Green Leaves of Summer being nominated for an Academy Award for its appearance in John Wayne's 1960 film The Alamo.
