First formed in 1981 in Chelsea, London after bonding over a mutual love of dance music in a electronics store, Pet Shop Boys (formed of Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe) have gone on to become one of pop's most enduring double acts, selling over 50 million records worldwide and becoming one of the UK's most successful duos.
Many of their hits, such as 'Go West', 'It's A Sin', 'West End Girls' and 'Always On My Mind', defined the sound of the Eighties, combining cutting satirical lyrics about Thatcherism with infectious synth melodies.
