Certain stories carry on from generation to generation and earn the designation "timeless" for good reason. Beauty and the Beast is one such story.

The Walt Disney Company knew they were dealing with a magical tale when they released their animated musical version of Beauty and the Beast in movie theaters just in time for the 1991 holiday season. The film became so popular that it completely revived the Disney animation department and went on to become the first animated film to ever be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture. Immediately theater fans said that the score and story were good enough for Broadway and they were right! Beauty and the Beast premiered on the Great White Way more than a decade ago, the first of Disney's theatrical ventures, and became a Tony winner and an instant smash with family audiences.

In Beauty and the Beast, Belle, a young woman in a small, provincial town, meets the Beast, in reality a young prince whose lack of compassion has trapped him in a spell placed by an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and to be loved, the spell will be broken and he will be transformed back to his former self. But time is running out, and if the Beast does not learn his lesson, he will be doomed for all eternity.

Be our guest for a storybook theatrical experience your whole family will love!

YESSSS! BEST "Beauty and the Beast" production EVER.

As the first reviewer mentioned, I have also seen this show 7 times, over 24 years, including Broadway (post-Susan Egan), The Schubert in L.A., and other professional productions. I was astounded and DELIGHTED throughout -- almost impossible to articulate but so thankful I got to see this one, there will be none better unless they cast everyone exactly the same. Special shout-outs to of course Susan Egan (what a voice, even her speaking voice you just swoon over); Gaston ( Adam Hollick, jaw-dropping amazing in every way); the adorable Beast (well . . . once he took that hot suit off), but holy moly, what a gorgeous voice Jason Chacon!); Lumiere (Marc Ginsburg - PERFECT, as great as Gary Beach, RIP). Mrs. Potts (she was an understudy? Hard to believe); Maurice, Cogsworth, and of course the beleaguered village idiot, Lafou. Not a single weak link in the entire cast. MESMERIZING! ... Read more

Best rendition ever seen!!!

Having seen Beauty and the Beast in NY on Broadway and London's West End I figured I had seen the best.... NOT!!! 5Star Theatricals "Beauty and the Beast" beats them all hands down. From the opening number to the final curtain call every member of this INCREDIBLE cast delights and makes the age old story seem brand new. Special shout out to Susan Egan ( the original Belle on Broadway) who is even better now if that is possible. Also, amazing performances by David Gilchrist who plays Belle's father, Maurice. Gaston, LaFou, Lumiere and Cogsworth are ALL fantastic, and the Beast. And of course, the Beast gives a breathtaking performance. Bravo!! Hope you have amazing success!!! ... Read more
