Cole Porter's iconic music arrives Off-Broadway in March!
Why see Anything Goes?
The classic Cole Porter musical returns!
It's 1934 and you're going on a cruise that's full of sex, booze, God and gangsters! Written by Joseph Stein and Will Glickman, Porter's iconic standards "I Get a Kick Out of You"; "You'd Be So Easy to Love; You're the Top; "It's De-Lovely; "Let's Misbehave", "It's De-lovely", and "Blow, Gabriel, Blow" raises the spirits and provides plenty of toe-tapping moments. The whimsical plot involves an ocean liner and star-crossed lovers, all coated in a generous amount of golden-era Hollywood sparkle.
Recently, it was revived on Broadway in 2011 starring Sutton Fosterand winning three Tony Awards including Best Revival. Followed by a national tour, it was helmed by director Kathleen Marshall, and became one of the biggest shows on the nationwide circuit for two years. This intimate yet full-scale production lacks none of the glamor, glitz and gorgeousness of its bigger sister, and is set to be a big Off-Broadway pull when it arrives in March.
It's deliciously delightful - All aboard!
